A good cause

Well of Change is a great concept for charitable giving that has started up here in Toronto. To steal a quote from the website, Well of Change is, "an online platform that gives people and organizations the choice to donate their time or their money to support the charity of their choice." I think this is a wonderful concept for those who want to support charities, but maybe don't have the money out of pocket to do so.

Recently I have agreed to donate my services to Well of Change for a glamour package and the lucky winner is receiving makeup by me, hair by Justin at Puzzle Creations and photography by Andrew Ho at Moments that click for her wedding this August.

Please check out their website :)

One thing that has always surprised me as a makeup artist is the number of woman who look at me in confusion when I pull out my lash curler. They don't know what they are missing out on! Curling the eyelashes opens up your eyes and brightens your entire face.

When you are short on time or if you don’t like to use much makeup, curling the lashes is a simple solution. Follow up with a light coat of mascara and you are ready to go! (For Asian lashes that do not like to hold curl, try waterproof mascara)

My favourite lash curler is the preo (picture). It looks a bit intimidating at first, but you grip the preo exactly where you are going to be curling the lashes, giving you far more control than your average curler. Its smaller size allows you to get into the corners of the eyes, and it even works for people with small or deep-set eyes that may have otherwise found it difficult or impossible to curl their lashes with the standard curler.

First Post!

Welcome to my blog!
This is going to be a process, figuring out what I want to share and make this all about.
The theme will of course be makeup and hair, be it behind the scene shots from shoots, new images, tutorials/tips, my favourite things, promotions... we shall see how it goes!

To start things off here is a shot from a creative shoot last weekend at Edward Gardens with photographer Alice Xue, stylist Heather Flood and models Kate and Chanele from Elite
